Varicose vein treatments offer excellent results without discomfort or downtime today. At Espinoza Vein Institute, we are pleased to announce the addition of the revolutionary treatment Clarivein to our practice. This procedure has been proven both safe and effective for the remove of spider and varicose veins. As the latest newcomer in the area of endovenous treatments, we can give South Carolina residents a minimally-invasive, pain-free way to say goodbye to unsightly, uncomfortable veins for good.
What is Clarivein?
Clarivein is an FDA-approved procedure to eliminate the cause of spider and varicose veins. The procedure uses a very fine, flexible wire, which is inserted into the vein. The catheter rotates inside the vein to irritate the vessel walls and ensure a sclerosing solution is evenly delivered throughout the vessel. The solution causes the vessel walls to stick together once the catheter is removed, resulting in a collapsed vessel that can be gradually reabsorbed by the body.
Benefits of Clarivein
There are a number of reasons to consider Clarivein your vein treatment of choice:
- Catheter is inserted via tiny puncture mark, requiring no stitches and leaving no visible scarring
- No heat is used in the procedure, reducing risk of damage to surrounding tissues and nerves
- The procedure involves less discomfort and bruising than other vein treatments
- There is virtually no downtime after the Clarivein procedure; you can return to regular activities immediately following the procedure
- Clarivein offers a permanent solution to swollen, unsightly veins and their accompanying symptoms
What does this procedure involve?
Clarivein is performed right in our Lexington office on an outpatient basis. There is no need for anesthesia during the procedure, and most patients report little or no discomfort during treatment. The procedure typically takes just a few minutes to complete, depending on the length of the vein to be treated. After treatment, patients are able to immediately resume regular activities.
When will I see results?
Results of Clarivein can be seen within a few days of the procedure and continue to improve over the following weeks as the vessel is eliminated through natural body processes. Blood will reroute to healthy veins nearby after the procedure, so you may notice some improvement in vascular function. Because the vessel is destroyed completely, Clarivein results are considered permanent. Of course, if new varicose veins develop, reassessment for the procedure can be repeated on a newly diseased vessel at any time.
Is Clarivein right for you?
Most people are candidates. This will be decided by you and the doctor.
